Happy Sunday lovelies! It’s freezing here in WNC and we are currently spending the day being really lazy hanging at the house with a fire in the wood stove blazing. I don’t know about you, but the cold weather makes me want to eat all the food and drink all the yummy beverages. With that said, I’m in a food craving mood right now so my weekly meal plan choices are going to reflect such cravings.
This recipe was on last week’s meal plan. This is hands down the Best Ever chicken recipe I have Ever Made! So, it’s happening again this week. I’ll pair it with some southern-style green beans and mashed potatoes drizzled with some of the white wine sauce from the chicken. mouth watering
The lentil. Okay, I have been wanting to love the lentil and yet every time I make lentil soup or lentil anything I am disappointed. I’ve been told it’s because I wasn’t using red lentils so I went out and got a bag of the red ones. I’m in the mood for a healthy yet hearty soup and this recipe looks like it could satisfy that craving. We shall see if the red lentils do the trick. If not, I am done with the lentil forever. Harsh, I know, but I’ve given the lentil a million chances.
Who doesn’t love meatball subs? Okay, I’m sure some of you aren’t fans but that just means your weird. I love meatball subs but they can be messy and being an OCD, type A-er I don’t like messy. This is a great alternative. Here’s a great recipe for meatballs. I add happy pork sausage to the meat mixture in addition to ground beef.
We’ve tried this recipe before (really when I refer to recipe I’m talking about the salad dressing recipe because a cobb salad is a cobb salad is a cobb salad, you get the picture) and it’s delicious. Tried and true yumminess and this is definitely a stand alone dish so no need to make any sides.
