Two fixes in one month!? Yes! That’s what happens when you ask for Stitch Fix gift cards for Christmas! I have all of this credit to play with so I decided to make the dreary month of January into an awesome month with two fixes. Woohoo! 🙂
Before we get to the fix, I have to share with you pictures of the purrfect (Cheesy, I know! I had to!) Stitch Fix model.
Let’s get the boring business out of the way.
For this fix, I told my stylist Jessica that I was feeling adventurous and wanted her to send some fun, funky, whimsical pieces. I also requested some plaid because who doesn’t love plaid?
Also, I’m trying out a new style of photos for this fix. It’s not always convenient for me to get Michael to take pictures of the outfits before the 3 day period is up. So here are my efforts in taking these photos myself. To be honest, I feel weird taking selfies. Even the word makes me cringe. Hence why you don’t see my face in any of these pictures. I’m trying it out anyway though so let me know what you think. Maybe next time I’ll get adventurous and take pictures showing my face as well.
Enough jibber jabber.
On to the fix!
RD Style – Rawson Faux Suede Moto Vest
I’ve been pinning a lot of vests onto my Stitch Fix Pinterest board lately so I see why Jessica sent a vest. However, the vests I’ve been pinning are more outerwear, casual vests. This vest is edgier than what I normally wear. In all fairness, I did tell Jessica that I was feeling adventurous for this fix. Unfortunately, I wasn’t adventurous enough for a suede vest. For those of you who love this style, this is a cute, well made vest.
Mo:Vint – Kuhn Henley Top
I requested a plaid button up for this fix. The colors are definitely me and something I would comfortably wear. The fabric is extremely soft and you feel like you are in your PJs – which let’s face it, I love being in my PJs! Unfortunately, this shirt was ginormous on me so I sadly had to send it back.
Skies are Blue – Weldon Cut Out Detail Top
I LOVE this top! This is one I pinned onto my Pinterest board. I’m so glad it showed up in this fix! I love the funky pattern and the splash of color at the bottom of the top. The cut out detail adds a little flair (But not too much flair! I’m not a fan of over-the-top flair). This shirt is lightweight so it will be a great transition piece from winter to spring.
Papermoon – Edicott Woven Dobby Back Knit Top
I am super bummed out that this top did not work out! This is another pinned piece. I love the back detail as well as the print which to me resembles eccentric circles (that’s a technical term folks – remember, I’m a mathematician by education!). Unfortunately, it was too big on me and the fabric itself was not very comfortable. I felt like this shirt would get itchy if you happen to sweat at all while wearing it. Booooohoooooo 🙁
Papermoon – Chandon Crochet Back Knit Top
Y’all I was seriously on the fence about this top! I requested “whimsical” items (whatever the hell that means – I might have been hormonal that day) and this is one that Jessica labeled “whimsical”. I love the feel and fit of this top. The pattern is what threw me for a loop. It felt too much like tie dye or some sort of southwestern top my mom would go bonkers for. However, the pattern was also cool and intriguing and different. In the end, I decided to send it back to save money for my next fix. What do you all think about this top? Yay or nay?
As always, I’d love to hear what you all think!

My next fix is scheduled to arrive in early February. My daughter’s first birthday is at the end of the month so I’ve requested that Jessica make me look good for Amelia’s birthday party. I can’t wait to see what she sends!
